Dear Colleague,

On Friday, the 26th of October 2012, a fourth edition of the one day colloquium on topics in Galois geometry is organised in Gent. We are pleased to announce the following speakers and their talks:

Andrea Svob (University of Rijeka): "Transitive designs constructed from finite groups"

Rocco Trombetti (University of Naples Federico II): "Subplanes of a translation plane"

Giuseppe Marino (Second University of Naples, Caserta): "On rank 2 semifields of order q^6"

Mario Pavcevic (University of Zagreb): "Improvements of the Kramer-Mesner method for t-design constructions"

Tamas Szonyi (Eotvos Lorand University, Budapest): "Colourings of projective planes"

Cornelia Roessing (University College Dublin): "Contributions to pure and applicable Galois geometry"

The talk of Cornelia Roessing is part of the public defense of her PhD thesis. After the defense, a reception is organised. Everyone attending the colloquium is also kindly invited to this reception!
